The Novato route is now open, however the San Antonio Creek pass is still closed for at least another month according to the construction company. You can access the Novato route (frontage road) via D St. to San Antonio Rd.

    Hi All,

Thought you might like to know that the frontage road (Redwood Blvd.) is closed, apparently due to a landslide. This effectively closes the bike route between Petaluma and Novato.

I had ridden today from Petaluma to Novato by way of Red Hill/Novato Blvd and was headed home. Imagine my surprise when security guards turned me around near the Birkenstock building! It made for a longer ride than I planned.

UPDATE: I just found news stories indicating that the mudslide happened on Tuesday, so this has been going on for a while. I guess I'm the last to know. No ETA for getting it fixed, so it might be some time.

    Cheers, Dave
