    Hello, Petaluma riders

Some of you may remember my health problems starting in 2019 that were complicated by AFIB and an autoimmune disease called "Sarcoidosis". The consequence was I was no longer able to keep up with the "Wanna Bs", SRCC AB or even my Marin riding buddies. Around April of this year, I got my "legs back" and my fitness restored as witnessed by riding King Ridge and Coleman Valley at Dennis Prior's summer camp out in Cazadero. I'm no longer taking Prednisone (a horrible anti-inflammatory) and instead am on a small dose of methotrexate (a cancer drug) that seems to be working. Thank goodness for great doctors!

But enough about me. Since I've gotten my "legs back" and am now riding my venerable Cervelo (non-powered) bicycle exclusively, I've decided to pass my Orbea Gain eBike along to someone who will make better use of it. It's in showroom condition, and I've done a ton of upgrades to it ($650 battery extender, top of the line tubeless tires and wheels/rims, and many other mechanical upgrades). It's a MEDIUM size and by the attached Orbea size chart ideally fits riders 5'5" to 5'10" (although other adjustments can be made to accommodate other body types). The bike includes the stem-mounted motor control which nearly replaces any Garmin (it is only missing GPS). As new it weighs 25 pounds (which is *very* light for an eBike) and most of all, it is "stealth" looking - it looks like a normal road bike except for the larger rear hub housing the motor. The components are Orbea and Shimano 105 R7000; the latest in this line and superb mechanical shifting.

I've attached a few photos of my 2020 Orbea Gain and here's a link to the Orbea website for this model and specs:
       https://www.orbea.com/us-en/ebikes/road/gain/cat/gain-m30-20mph

Yes, the motor seamlessly cuts out at 20mph, which makes this ride a bike path legal "Class 1" eBike. Other bikes with more top end are "Class 3" and are subject to more regulations.

The bluebook on this bike is $3200, and I've added the 2nd $650 battery and other upgrades so it's easily a $4K value, which I will sell to someone for $3K.

Thanks for looking, and please email me off-list if interested. We can arrange a test ride anywhere you like.
