We will take the 8:19 southbound Smart train to the Larkspur Station.  The ride will be a loop from Larkspur to Paradise Drive to Sausalito to the Headlands and back to Larkspur with a coffee/lunch stop along the way.  Depending upon our pace/energy we will catch the 2:23 or 2:55 train home at the Larkspur station.  If we miss either of those it's only a short ride to the San Rafael Station to wait for the next train where cold beer is available near by.  The ride is 45 miles/2700 ft.
